Walt’s Rascal Bus Tour

July 14, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

Sterling North, one of America’s great novelists, was an Edgerton native who lived from 1906 to 1974 and wrote classics such as “So Dear to My Heart,” “The Wolfling,” and the autobiographical “Rascal” which details North’s life raising a raccoon, the titular character. “Rascal” and “So Dear to My Heart” both were adapted to films by Walt Disney.  Take a free bus tour with the Edgerton Public Library summer reading program, enjoying area highlights from Sterling North’s books. Held in memory of Walter Diedrick who dedicated so many hours to restoring North’s home and then giving house tours and bus tours to hundreds of students.  Tours are approximately two hours and leave from the Edgerton Public Library at 10 AM and at 1 PM.
