Visit the childhood home of Sterling North, one of America’s great novelists. North, an Edgerton native who lived from 1906 to 1974, wrote classics such as “So Dear to My Heart,” “The Wolfling,” and the autobiographical “Rascal” which details North’s life raising a raccoon, the titular character. “Rascal” and “So Dear to My Heart” both were adapted to films by Walt Disney. At this event, enjoy a slide show about Sterling North and his family, followed by a presentation by a canoe builder. House tours are $5 for adults, $3 for students; children under 5 are free.
