Sterling North Museum Tours

Visit the childhood home of Sterling North, one of America’s great novelists. North, an Edgerton native who lived from 1906 to 1974, wrote classics such as “So Dear to My Heart,” “The Wolfling,” and the autobiographical “Rascal” which details North’s life raising a raccoon, the titular character. “Rascal” and “So Dear to My Heart” both were adapted to films by Walt Disney. Guided group and self-guided individual tours of North’s home are offered Sundays May through November. Also visit their gift shop, which features books, clothing and collectibles. Cash only.
