The Rock County Conservationists are offering a free public canoe or kayak trip on the Yahara River. Participants should meet at Murwin Park on Hwy. H in Fulton where shuttles have been arranged for the participants. You are welcome to bring your own canoe or kayak, but if you don’t own one there are a limited number available at no charge. The Yahara River is a wide, shallow river with a gentle current that is suitable for beginners and family-style paddling. Bring a beverage and snacks and clothes suitable for swimming. You must make a reservation in advance by calling Dave Bendlin at 608-868-3824 by Friday, August 11th.
