DESCRIPTION:Learn how to best prepare mushrooms for optimal benefit and get inspired to incorporate them into your daily life through this informative workshop. The first part of the day\, led by herbalist Linda Conroy\, will be spent learning to prepare mushrooms for food and medicine. Everyone will make several preparations to take home\, including a delicious pate\, infused vinegar\, tincture\, and powder blend. The second part of the day\, led by Ingrid Daudert\, will be spent learning to grow mushrooms\, and everyone will take home their own inoculated log. A delicious mushroom-based lunch will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:During this winter night hike\, the group will walk silently around the park listening for the calls of Wisconsin’s three most common owls: the Great Horned owl\, Eastern Screech owl and Barred owl. In order to achieve the silence needed to possibly hear their calls\, the number of participants will be limited. This walk is intended for dedicated birdwatchers.
