In the history of Jazz, only one bandleader has the distinction of having his orchestra still performing sold out concerts all over the world, with members personally chosen by him, 30 years after his passing. The Count Basie Orchestra, today directed by Scotty Barnhart, has won every respected jazz poll in the world at least once, along with 18 Grammy Awards. They have performed for kings, queens and other royalty, appeared in several movies and television shows, and have played major concert halls across the globe. Now, they bring their considerable jazz chops to Edgerton for a night of swinging. This performance features a guest vocalist, 2019 Grammy Nominee Carmen Bradford. Celebrate the 20th Anniversary signing of the William and Joyce Wartmann Endowment for the Performing Arts. Tickets are general admission. The gala event will include a dance with a light menu and non-alcoholic beverages. Tables and chairs will be set up in the Fieldhouse and the event will include a dance floor for those Patrons who wish to dance. Dancing is not a requirement and you can certainly relax in your seat and enjoy the entertainment.
